Photo Tips

A clear photo helps us create a softer, more personal portrait light — but it doesn’t need to be perfect.

What works best

Choose a photo where your pet’s face is easy to see. Front-facing or slightly angled photos usually work best, especially when the eyes, ears, and facial markings are clear.

Natural light or soft indoor light is ideal. Try to avoid photos that are too dark, blurry, or heavily filtered.

What to avoid

Avoid photos where your pet’s face, ears, or body are cut off. Very small, far-away, or low-resolution photos may not give the best result.

If your pet is partly hidden, moving, or photographed in harsh shadows, please upload another photo as a reference.

Not sure your photo will work?

Upload it anyway. We’ll review your photo before production and contact you if another image is needed.

You can also add optional reference photos to help us capture markings, expression, ears, or multiple pets.
